Alan Rutherford


Alan is Ebiquity's Global Chairman for Media, based in our London office. Alan has an extensive, 30-year career in the media, advertising, and marketing industries. He spent fourteen years at Ogilvy/WPP, where he ran global business including IBM, Guinness, Kodak and Sony PlayStation. He was one of the founders of ‘the Network’, Ogilvy’s media arm, and a forerunner to WPP’s Mindshare. 

He then worked in-house, spending nine years at Unilever. As Global Head of Media Services, Alan led the global roll out of the first 360 communications planning approach and toolset. He spent four years as Global CEO of Digitas, and was the founding client of FirmDecisions, Ebiquity’s specialist contract compliance business.
