1. 3,628, 371 shares are held in an Employee Benefit Trust (“EBT”) and the trustee has undertaken not to vote the shares held by the EBT. There are no shares held in treasury. Therefore the figure of 136,732,419 should be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

2. This figure has been calculated to include shares held in the Employee Benefit Trust together with those held by the directors of the company and its subsidiaries, as well as by substantial shareholders (ie those holding 10% or more of the issued share capital)
